Tasting Notes:
This crisp and vibrant modern Sauvignon Blanc has well defined gooseberry and green pepper aromas on the nose and is complimented by soft, ripe passion fruit flavours on a full palate with a long, lingering finish. Vines planted in 2005. 

Climate:
Vineyards in Devon Valley area benefit from close proximity to both Indian and Atlantic ocean with cool sea breezes that influence the mild Mediterranean climate. Yield: 7 t/ha

CHARDONNAY / VIOGNIER 2017

Wine of Origin: Stellenbosch. Climate: Coastal. Area planted: 32 ha  3 wire trellised vines. Soil: Hutton and Clay. Blend: 80% Chardonnay, 20% Viognier.

Harvest Harvested
in the early morning during the last week of February. Grapes were handpicked into small baskets. Yield was 7-10 ton/ha

In the Cellar Winemaker:
Natalee Botha Gentle destalking and crushing into Stainless steel tanks. Partially fermented in second fill French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:
Expressive and exuberantly generous. Vibrant yet complex with ripe layers of summer fruits. A unique creature that cannot be compared to any of its peers.

Vineyards:
We travelled the wine regions of the Western Cape, South Africa to source small parcels of Sauvignon blanc. Each parcel was selected to showcase the true terroir of its specific region. Each parcel has different soil types, irrigation methods and trellising systems all to suit that specific vineyard and climate.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON / MERLOT 2016

Varieties: Cab Sauvignon 60% / Merlot 40%   Wine of origin: Stellenbosch

Tasting Notes:
This deeply coloured, vibrant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot has well defined ripe Blackcurrant aromas on the nose and is complimented by rich vanilla oak and dark plum flavours on the palate with soft, ripe tannins. The wine is very accessible now but will also benefit from maturation for 2 to 4 years

Harvest Information:
Date: Middle March. Type: Handpicked. Yield: 6-7 ton/ha.

Winemakers: Natalee Botha. Crushing/Destemming: Gentle Destalking. Tanks (type): Stainless Steel. Pre-fermentation maceration: 3 days @ 10°C.  Standard (2 × pumpovers)  maceration at <30°C until dry. Yeast Strain: Oenoferm Rouge. Malolactic (y/n): Yes in barrel. Lees contact / battonage: No. Method of oak maturation: 12 months in first
